What I do
I write for behavioral health organizations and clinicians who need content that is both clinically credible and genuinely readable. My specialty is translating complex mental health concepts into language that actually reaches people.
Background
My academic training is in psychology — I hold a BA in Psychology and an AS in Psychology, along with an MA in Creative Writing. That combination is not accidental. Understanding how people think, feel, and process experience is what makes behavioral health content work. The writing craft is what makes it land.
I have spent years working at the intersection of clinical knowledge and human communication — writing for practitioners, organizations, researchers, and advocates who need their ideas to reach people beyond their immediate professional circle. I bring the same standard to all of it: accuracy without distance, depth without jargon.
The novel
I am also the author of Generations of Silence, a multigenerational literary family saga writing under the pen name Sybil Slater. The series follows three generations of women shaped by abandonment, addiction, war, secrecy, and inherited trauma — asking whether cycles of silence and damage can ever truly be broken. The first novel, Shadows of Yesterday, is complete. The psychological precision that runs through my nonfiction work runs through the fiction too.
Let’s work together
If you are a clinician, organization, or researcher who needs writing that respects both the material and the reader — I would like to hear from you.
